A whole museum about the Berlin specialty, the Currywurst. IxDS was asked to deliver the centerpiece of the exhibit, an interactive gaming experience. The initiator of the museum, Edutainment International, was looking for an entertaining piece that could be played by young and elderly, together or by oneself, and should be instantly learnable.
Following a quick research at Currywurst stands in the city, IxDS devised a game that also has a didactic component. Two stands let the players be their own currywurst chefs: they receive orders from a number of original characters and are asked to prepare them instantly. The gameplay references that of modern games such as the Wii. Four physical tools – knife, curry powder, ketchup bottle and chili – must be treated in a hurry to prepare the dishes.
